How do I completely reset my Heptabase account?

I want to delete all of my Heptabase data and start fresh. How can I do it?

To fully reset your account and remove all data:

1. Remove your data from the cloud:

  • Open the Heptabase desktop app.

  • In the left sidebar, click on your Space name, then select Settings > Advanced.

  • Click Deactivate Sync.

2. Delete your local data:

  • Completely close the Heptabase app.

  • Based on your operating system, delete the following folder:

Windows:

  • Open your file explorer.

  • Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\project-meta into the address bar.

  • Delete the entire project-meta folder.

MacOS:

  • Open Finder.

  • Press Cmd + Shift + G and paste ~/Library/Application Support.

  • Locate and delete the project-meta folder.

Linux:

  • Navigate to ~/.config/project-meta.

  • Delete the entire project-meta folder.

3. Restart sync to start fresh:

  • Reopen the Heptabase app.

  • Go to your Space name in the sidebar, then select Settings > Advanced.

  • Click Activate Cloud Sync to start syncing again with a clean state.
