Why can't I start a free trial in the mobile app?

If you're signing in on mobile with an email that hasn't started a free trial on the desktop or web version of Heptabase, you might see a "Start on the web version first" message.

Right now, you can't start a trial on the mobile app.


Who can sign in on the mobile app?

  • Anyone who has ever started a free trial or subscribed (even if they never paid or their subscription later ended).

How to start a free trial?

  1. Click Start free trial.

  2. Sign up with your email or Google account.

  3. Choose a subscription plan and start your free trial.

That’s it! Once your trial is created, mobile sign-in works.

Common questions

  • I started a trial but still can’t sign in on mobile. Make sure you’re using the same email. If it still doesn’t work, please contact support.

  • My subscription ended. Can I still sign in on mobile? Yes! If you have ever started a free trial or had a subscription, you should be able to sign in.
