When connecting Readwise, Heptabase counts the highlights returned by your Readwise library and compares the total with the connection limit configured for your account. A large library may trigger the size-limit warning shown below. This is a highlight-count check, not a file-size or disk-space limit; 5,000 is not a fixed limit for every account.
If you see this warning and would still like to connect, contact support with a screenshot of the warning and the highlight count it reports. Do not include your Readwise access token in the screenshot or message.
We can review whether to enable a bypass for your account. If support enables it, restart Heptabase and try connecting Readwise again.
The screenshot above is an example; follow the warning shown in your current app. Bypassing the connection check does not guarantee that a large import will be fast. Importing and syncing a large library can still take time or affect responsiveness.
