If you want the AI Agent to analyze a specific image, add the image directly to the current chat and explain what you want it to inspect.
Add an image
From a whiteboard: Right-click an image or image card and select New chat / Add to chat.
From the chat panel: Select the
+button in the bottom-left corner and choose an existing image card.From your device: Paste an image directly into the chat. On desktop or web, you can also drag an image file into the chat area.
Adding an existing whiteboard image or image card reuses the existing image. Pasting or dragging an image file stores it as a new chat attachment.
If you mention a card that contains images, the AI Agent may process embedded images when it reads the card, but not every image is guaranteed to be included in the same model request. If an image is important to the task, add that image directly.
Image limits for each request
The selected model must support image input. Heptabase applies the following limits to each model request based on the model provider:

1 MiB equals 1,024 × 1,024 bytes. These limits apply to each model request, not to the total number of images stored in your Space, and they are not universal limits for every product from each provider.
For Anthropic requests containing more than 20 images, the longest side of each image must be 2,000 pixels or less. Images that exceed this limit, or whose dimensions cannot be determined, are omitted from that request.
If an image is not read
Try the following:
Confirm that the selected model supports image input.
Add the specific image directly to the chat and state what you want the AI Agent to inspect.
Resize the image or include fewer images in the request.
Split a larger task into several requests.
An image may be omitted, or the request may fail, if its format is unsupported or it exceeds the size, count, or dimension limits.
